What the coach does:
I work with women who want to enjoy their long-awaited-for retirement so that they can spend their precious time on activities and pursuits that give them joy and fulfillment, instead of worrying about the chronic health outcomes that they see affecting so many other retirees.
I equip them with strategies to discover their own hidden wisdom and strengths, and support them in creating their own solutions to problems — all without judgment, while holding them accountable to their goals.
I partner with my clients to uncover any obstacles that are slowing them down and offer them a variety of skills to navigate those challenges. I enable them to make sense out of all the (sometimes confusing!) health information on the internet.
Making real, lasting lifestyle and behavior changes does not have to be so hard! Let’s face it — most people aren’t able to make sustainable changes on their own. It takes ongoing effort and support. Witness the parking lot at the gym on February first, year after year; folks were determined to start an exercise program on January 1st, but they typically give up after struggling for a month on their own.
I have learned what there is to know about the science of breaking bad habits and establishing good ones; I partner with my clients so that they can finally succeed in getting to where they want to be in their lives.
What the client does:
My clients determine what is important to them. They then navigate challenges, at their own pace.
They learn to make sense of the mess of (often misleading) information on the internet and in the press.
My clients are often afraid of falling victim to chronic disease. I help them understand that their future is in their own hands; they sometimes need some education, they sometimes need encouragement, and they sometimes need a structured plan — one that doesn’t make them give up before they reach their goals. What would you need?
Each client is different, but during the coaching relationship, they all move forward and attain what they want.
And the changes last.
I encourage you to take advantage of a complimentary health and wellness strategy session, to see what the future could hold for you !
